Met Gala 2016: the outfits that stunned and the perfumes to match

By Lauren Carbran

Go big or go home. Yes, that’s the vibe we got from this year’s Met Gala, held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. The theme? Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology. The dresses? Chic, bold and metallic. Our reaction? We loved it.

So here are the most dramatic outfits and our fave perfumes to match…

Kim KardashianKim Kardashian

Kim K rocked the red carpet at the Met Ball 2016 with her metallic silver Balmain dress. The reality star flaunted her curves (and most of her left leg) for the biggest party in the showbiz world. And, of course, her hubby was by her side, in a silver bomber jacket teamed with ripped jeans. So what would be a better perfume match for the metallic theme adopted by these lovebirds than Calvin Klein CK2, which oozes wasabi and sandalwood? You can share it with the boyf, too – bonus!

Naomi Campbell

There’s only one Met Ball 2016 dress we said OMG to. By that we mean, we want it now! Naomi Campbell’s Roberto Cavalli black silk lace crop top and skirt stunned everyone. It was sophisticated, sexy and totally on our wishlist. One thing’s for sure, she’s looking ready to party! Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Wild Party will give you the same red-carpet glamour, with notes of grapefruit and wild musk. We love!

Katy PerryKaty Perry

Katy Perry stole the limelight in her bold Prada gown, embellished with gold keys, and with dramatic make-up finished off with black lipstick. We couldn’t help but stare in awe because who else can pull off that look? The only perfume you need to match this stunning vibe is Katy Perry’s own Killer Queen perfume, with its lush notes of dark plum, wild berry and liquid praline. We’d be super-surprised if she didn’t wear this to the Met Ball 2016.
